SmartInspect GiveAway

As I mentioned in the podcast, Gurock Software is donating a free copy of their SmartInspect tracing and debugging application for one lucky listener. If you are interested in winning a copy then download the 30-day trial of Smart Inspect version 3.0. Test it out and then send me your short review and comments. I’ll share those comments in a future podcast and announce the winner then. Please post your entries as comments here, or if you would like to submit a short audio clip, you can email it to jim@delphi.org. All entries must be received by Thursday, September 4st, 2008.

Hello,

how can I claim the discount on “Beyond Compare”? I do not see any instructions, or am I missing something?

Thanks in advance,
Olaf

For Beyond Compare just go to their website, add one of their products to you cart and use the coupon code mentioned in the podcast. It is all one word.

Yes, that is exactly what I am looking for. Not long winded at all. Just want to know what people think of it. Thanks!

Glad you are enjoying the podcasts. I am too. I have a lot of fun and informative interviews planned too.

Hi.. Here is my review:

Review of SmartInspect by Jens (pronounced as Yens) Fudge, Archersoft Aps – Denmark.

Inspired by the podcast by Jim McKeeth, I actually went to Gurock.com and downloaded the trial version of smartinspect.

The first thing I noticed was the ease of installing.. It really was just next->next->next… I got the Innosetup-feeling I like..

I started up the console, and did find it a bit confusing, but after settling down and looking through the tutorial, I found my self thinking.. hey, this stuff can really come in handy… It was actually quite easy to use.. The tutorial got me started, and after playing around with it for some time, it got me thinking of my applications that I have running in the different archery clubs (and others) around the world.. Just got to mention archery as a great sport there…. 🙂

I didnt actually try the remote inspection, but running on the same laptop as the pc was very easy, using a logfile in stead was very easy, and will probably be my prefered way of using the product.. Did I say my prefered way.. well.. uhm yes… I’m probably going to have to buy the software now, unless I get the free copy…

Yup, it most defenatly is a great product, and I really do see where it comes in handy.

Regards Jens Fudge
